Welcome to our eleventh Weekly News Roundup, in which we report the news surrounding Dead Matter from the past week(s).
It is finally upon us, an exact release date, the countdown to the Closed Alpha release has been started. In 9 days from now, so on August the 19th, it will be launched.
Keep also in mind, that once the countdown ran out, it will not be possible to back the game anymore. This is your last chance to get your hands on it for the Closed Alpha and support the development. You can back the game on either Indiegogo or through the QI Store.
The countdown to the Closed Alpha release can be found on our Release Date page.
Kyle has added the ability to hit infected with car doors.
Home Security & Lawn Mower Trap
Nomad has polished up the home security system panel. Similar to the fire alarms in the game, this panel has a functioning display showing its status, and given you have the correct code, will let you turn on or off the alarm.
He also started working on another trap for player settlements: The Lawn Mower Trap.
Reworked Baseball Bats
Rizz reworked the Baseball Bat melee weapon to ensure uniform quality and allow for more modifications. (The grey ones in the back are work in progress)
Weather Sounds
Haxorus has been overhauling the first person hands, optimizing glass materials, and adding another mode for the shooting range. He also worked on the weather sounds, here a small demonstration.
New Melee Weapon Animations
F34R has added some new animations for melee weapons.
