A breakdown of Development Vlog #7, posted on April 2nd, 2019.
A lot has been done since the previous Vlog. Many new locations and buildings have been added to the map, new vehicles, new medical items and a revamped medical system. Grenades, weapon improvements, a new melee hit detection system and more...

Lakeside Cabins
Lead artist Shirk added a set of Lakeside Cabins scattered throughout the map.
Summer Camp
One location that we've seen before, the Summer Camp, has been finished. The ideal place to search for camping supplies...
Electrical Substation
Another location that we've seen before, the Electrical Substation, has been completed. It will function as an actual source of electricity for the Alpha map.
Radio Station
A new location/building is the 9750 CMRN Radio Station.
Trailer Park
A Trailer Park just off the highway, which we've seen partly before, has been completed.
Metal Storage Warehouses
Metal Storage Warehouses are a new building type that has been added.
Minor Locations
Some minor locations have been added across the map. These include small Metal Shacks, another small Trailer Park, Billboards, Radio Towers and more.
All these new locations are roughly within walking distance to one another, so players have small points of interest to discover while traversing the map.
New Vehicles (Sedan & News Van)
Nomad has been doing some work in the vehicle department. A brand new Sedan has been added to the game. "It's reliable, hits like a brick and soon will have a police variation". The News Van, a Kickstarter era idea, has also been added to the game. Some of them will be static and some drivable.
New Medical Items
Three new medical items have been added to the game. An Epinephrine Autoinjector, a Morphine Autoinjector and a Blood Type Testing Kit.
Epinephrine Autoinjector - A strong dose of adrenaline
Morphine Autoinjector - A strong pain killer
Blood Type Testing Kit - Used to determine your characters blood type
Camping Tents
Nomad also created a set of Camping Tents. They can be set-up and used as storage or a place to crawl in to protect you from the elements.
Soccer Field Assets
New soccer field assets have been created, also by Nomad. They will be added to the Gameworld in the future.
Weapon Improvements
A new feature to the weapon system has been added, you can now check how much ammo is remaining in your weapon by pressing the Check Ammo Key.
Putting down/away weapons has been tweaked, larger weapons will take a few seconds more to put down, sidearms are faster.
The reloading system has been improved, drum magazines don't cause clipping issues anymore.
Last but not least, the Service Rifle has received a set of brand new animations as well as new meshes.
Grenades
Three types of grenades have added to the game; Fragmentation Grenade, Flashbang and Smoke Grenades. Their particle effects are just a placeholder for now and will be improved in the future.
All of our grenades do not use a traditional physics system and instead follow a deterministic flight path.
If you can throw a grenade at the exact same angle, on the exact same wall you will get the exact same outcome every single time.
Grenades will not be common in Dead Matter and we want people to be able to use them to their full effect when they find them.
S.E.D.A
A new skill point system has been added to the game, called S.E.D.A., which stands for Strength, Endurance, Dexterity, Agility. This new system will give every character unique abilities.

Endurance - Your characters' endurance
Dexterity - Your characters' dexterity
Agility - Your characters' agility
Melee Hit Detection System
Anew melee hit detection system has been added, which functions similar to the one found in Left 4 Dead.
Medical System
The medical system has been completely revamped and extended, it now features 12 different types of medical conditions that players can be affected by.
Medical conditions: Sprained Ankles Light Fractures Infections Food Poisoning Broken Ribs Pain Hypothermia Hyperthermia Poisoning Embedded Shrapnel Embedded Bullets Aanaphylaxis
