Breakdown of the 5th Dev Vlog, posted on December 1st, 2018.

Cabins in the Woods

Lead artist Shirk has created a set of cabins and shacks for a campsite in the woods which looks really good.

Warehouses

He also created some commercial warehouses, a good place to look for crafting supplies or make a shelter for your group.

Church

A new church has been created, also by Shirk, it features a hidden office and a bell tower.

Police Station Armory

The police station has received some more polish, especially the basement, which now has a nice-looking armory.

NERA Evacuation Center

Developer Nomad has created a NERA evacuation center, NERA is the National Emergency Reaction Agency, a fictional Canadian version of the FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency).
These evac centers will randomly popup on different locations and are a great spot to find medical supplies, however they are also going to be a hotspot for the infected...

Fire Lookout Tower

Nomad has also upgraded his firewatch tower to have a nice, cozy interior.

Fire Alarm

Dead Matter now features working fire alarms, which can be activated by pulling the T-bar and deactivated by using the control panel. Of course, the fire alarm is very loud and will attract a lot of infected...

Weapon Improvements

Some improvements were made in terms of weapon gameplay. A feature called Adaptive Peaking was added, which allows the player to aim over obstacles automatically, when in cover, while aiming down the sights.
The Mosin Nagant now has proper reload animations including a stripper clip reload.
Scopes, iron sights, red dot and holo sights have been added, but didn't get a final polish yet.

New Weapons

Six new weapons have been added to the game. HR75 (A Croatian pistol), Heckler & Koch P9 pistol, AK-74, Makarov pistol, E-92 pistol and last but not least the wood axe.

Construction Signs

These electronic construction sings have been added to the game, some of them can be towed by a vehicle and players will be able to set the text that appears on the screen.

Inventory Improvements

There have been plenty of minor improvements to the inventory, one of which is the possibility to place objects on the ground.
Sub containers such as the first aid kit have been added in which you can store items, this will allow for easier management of your inventory and improve your carrying capacity slightly.
You can now pick up larger objects such as jerry cans, metal and wood sheets for barricading, propane tanks for barbecue and much more.

New Doors

The doors in the game have been greatly improved, you can now physically interact with them and so can the zombies. You can now also knock on doors using the context menu.
